TOV இவ்விதமாய் ஜனங்களை எண்ணினபின்பு, ராஜாவின் இருதயம் அவனை வாதித்தது; அப்பொழுது தாவீது கர்த்தரை நோக்கி: நான் இப்படிச் செய்ததினாலே பெரிய பாவஞ்செய்தேன்; இப்போதும் ஆண்டவரே, உமது அடியானின் அக்கிரமத்தை நீக்கிவிடும்; நான் மகா புத்தியீனமாய்ச் செய்தேன் என்றான்.
KJV And David’s heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O LORD, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.
YLT And the heart of David smiteth him, after that he hath numbered the people, and David saith unto Jehovah, `I have sinned greatly in that which I have done, and now, O Jehovah, cause to pass away, I pray Thee, the iniquity of Thy servant, for I have acted very foolishly.`

ESV But David's heart struck him after he had numbered the people. And David said to the LORD, "I have sinned greatly in what I have done. But now, O LORD, please take away the iniquity of your servant, for I have done very foolishly."
ERVEN David felt ashamed after he had counted the people and said to the Lord, "I have sinned greatly in what I did! Lord, I beg you, forgive me for my sin. I have been very foolish."
